Ajmal Bhatty

Ajmal Bhatty is a thought leader, promoter and developer of takaful; recognized for his outstanding contributions in the Takaful Industry.
Currently he is Managing Partner of MassesGlobal UK and Executive Director of Badri Management Consultancy UAE. He is also member of the Advisory Board of the UK’s Islamic Finance Council.
Ajmal has over 30 years of insurance and takaful experience, holding C-level positions in Tokio Marine, HSBC, Arab Insurance Group, Takaful International and Old Mutual UK, with takaful start-ups in Malaysia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Singapore and UK.
He pioneered research, promotion and development of Takaful in the 1990’s, contributing to the evolution of ideas and concepts of ethical savings and protection, working closely with standard setting bodies of IsDB, IFSB and AAOIFI, and regulatory bodies of Malaysia, Brunei, Bahrain and Afghanistan.
He is a registered actuary in the UAE and Bahrain, and a member of Actuaries Without Borders. He worked as member of special international committee of Islamic Development Bank and Bank Negara Malaysia to develop and promote takaful amongst the members of Organization of Islamic Countries.
