Akhilesh Jain is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted career spanning insurance, reinsurance, digital technology, and agritech. Born and raised in Delhi, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a master’s degree in International Business Management from England, giving him a strong global perspective on business and finance.
Beginning his career in 2005 with a leading insurance and reinsurance broking firm, Akhilesh managed premium portfolios exceeding INR 15,000 million, built trusted relationships with over 500 large corporates, and generated more than INR 500 million in reinsurance revenue. He also led teams of 150+ professionals and was elected the youngest Director on the Board of the Insurance Brokers Association of India. An entrepreneur at heart, he established a large-scale health insurance contact centre and e-commerce platform, and later diversified into digital technology and agritech as a co-founder of one of India’s fastest-growing agritech start-ups. His work with the Government of India and the Union Ministry of Agriculture was instrumental in digitising the country’s largest farmer crop insurance scheme.
