David Piesse is an insurance and InsureTech practitioner based in HK for over 20 years. He was Global Head of Insurance for SUN Microsystems where he started a Takaful division to provide software solutions for Islamic Finance. He is on the advisory board of Ultimate Risk Solutions an independent capital modelling company where he is integrating Takaful models. He sits on numerous advisory boards for emerging risks. He was United Nations risk management consultant spanning 10 years working globally. He started his career at Lloyd a of London and in 2017 was awarded the Kenneth Black Junior distinguished service award from the International Insurance Society.
