James is the Chairman of Willis Re International overseeing all Willis Re’s activities outside North America. He has been with Willis for 40 years, joining in 1978 as a broker in the Reinsurance Division handling Asia Pacific Non Marine Treaty business.
James is a Director of Willis Group’s principle UK subsidiary, Willis Limited, along with a number of other Willis Group Subsidiary Companies and is also the Willis Group Client Advocate for a number of Willis Re’s largest Asian clients. He has extensive practical experience in the analysis, structuring and placement of large complex reinsurance programs and strong relationships with the senior management of all major global reinsurers. He is the leader of Willis Re’s Public Private Sector Practice Group which works in conjunction with Willis Towers Watson’s Capital Science and Policy Unit to further the development of Willis Re’s activities in the Public Private Sector.
James is a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chairman of the London International Insurance Broker Association (LIIBA) Reinsurance Sub Committee. He holds dual UK/Australian citizenship.
