Lina Hantas is the Senior Executive Officer for Westfield Specialty (ME) Ltd demonstrating exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial qualities. She is also the first female board member of the DIFC Insurance Association.
Lina was the first employee of Westfield Specialty Dubai (formerly ArgoGlobal Dubai) in 2011. She joined as Chief Underwriting Officer, commenced the book of business, built the team, and gained a tremendous amount of experience in the Middle East and African region, establishing a brand in those markets. As a result of her success, in 2017 she was appointed SEO.
Lina started her working career in 1995 as a banker in Beirut, Lebanon. Nearly a decade later she transitioned to the insurance sector as Casualty Underwriter for AIG. She was at AIG for six years and then moving onto Chubb as Regional Casualty Manager for over two years.
Lina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. In 2019, she also received a leadership training certification from Harvard Business School.
Lina was recognized as one of the most influential women in the industry by the Insider in 2018 and won Woman Leader of the year Award in 2024 by the Middle East Insurance Industry Awards.
