Özgür Obalı graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Economics and completed his master’s degree in international banking and finance at the University of Birmingham.
He worked in various positions from inspector to chairman of the board of inspectors at İşbank and Türkiye Finans.
Between 2012 and 2016, Mr. Obalı served as the assistant general manager of human resources, support services, after-sales services, marketing, operations and information technologies at Vakıf Emeklilik and as the general manager of Vakıf Emeklilik between February 2016 and July 2020. Mr. Obalı has been serving as the Secretary General of the Insurance Association of Turkey since August 2020.
