Adrian has been working in the Lloyd’s (re)insurance industry for 42 years. In 1982, he joined Sedgwick Group in the Marine division, where he became a Divisional Director in 1989.  In 1992 he joined Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers (RFIB) and was appointed to the Marine board in 2000.  In 2006, he set up the RFIB office in the DIFC in Dubai, and in 2008 set up a licensed subsidiary office in Riyadh and promoted onto the board of RFIB Saudi Arabia Ltd.  In 2020 joined Tysers and is a Director of Marine & Aviation.

Adrian has specialised in the Middle East since joining RFIB, and responsible for all classes of insurance and reinsurance business from clients across whole of MENA region.

    War in the Gulf in 2026 is a defining event for political violence. Underwriters face unprecedented claims activity, with individual Iranian missile and drone strikes accounting for hundreds of millions of dollars in damage, together representing more insured financial loss in just a few weeks than several years of the Russo-Ukrainian war. This roundtable will explore how perceptions of the threat environment have shifted in the GCC. Panellists will also consider the possible market response, the situation once the current crisis subsides, including whether demand for cover could expand, and whether recent claims experience signals a turning point at forthcoming renewals.
