In 2008 Jonathan founded Gate Insurance Group in Baghdad Iraq. Originally focused on supporting the needs of the Private Security industry, Gate Insurance Group has evolved into a global group of companies specialising in complex and large-scale insurance and reinsurance structures – principally in frontier and emerging markets and mainly in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Mining industries.
In 2020 Jonathan founded HALO Verify – an integrated solution to assist businesses and individuals coping with COVID-19 uniquely using saliva and reporting using mobile apps which, among other flagship clients was the exclusive provider of COVID testing to a major flag carrier airline for the duration of the pandemic. The genetic sequencing and technology aspects of this business evolved into HALOGene – the UK’s first privately funded provider of genetic testing, diagnostics and counselling providing rapid genetic testing and support for early detection of somatic and germline cancers.
In 2023 Jonathan started working with an expert team on a new project working to access third party capital generating superior and uncorrelated returns for investors seeking to diversify their portfolios by exploiting inefficiencies in the (re)insurance market. This project remains in “stealth mode”.
