Emmanuel joined Saham in June 2016 and is responsible for running the insurance operations from designing the Pan-African strategy to executing the plan through the group’s network of 33 countries. He is leading the integration between direct insurance and reinsurance, leveraging the usage of our captive vehicle Saham Re as a strategic Risk and Capital management tool.
Prior joining Saham, Emmanuel spent 15 years with AIG where he held various senior executive positions in the EMEA region.
Based in London he was managing the Corporate & Commercial Insurance Division of AIG across Europe, Middle-East and Africa from 2010 to 2014 before taking the responsibility of Chief Risk Officer for the EMEA region mid-2014.
He was previously based in Paris (2002 / 2007) as AIG France Deputy CEO and Head of Mid-market for Europe before moving to Zurich as AIG Switzerland CEO (2008 / 2010).
Prior to AIG he worked for SCOR between 1997 and 2001 as Director of the Marine & Energy Division.
Emmanuel graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris and started his career in 1991 as Oil & Gas Process and Project engineer with TECHNIP (1991 / 1996).
